    * Nonmember with Membership (individual and group) registrations are offered a one-year e-membership which include an electronic edition of Teaching Children Mathematics (Pre-K–Grade 5), or Mathematics Teaching in Middle School (Grades 5–9), or Mathematics Teacher (Grades 9–14). To decline the membership, please register as a Nonmember without Membership. Registration rates are the same for the Nonmember without Membership option.

    When will I receive my confirmation, badge, and program binder?

    All participants will receive an email confirmation and itinerary for their Institute experience. Badges and program workbooks will be available for on-site pickup during Institute registration. On-site registrations will not be available, but NCTM staff will be available to assist with changes to badges or strand selections.

    What are the hours for materials pick-up and suggestions for dress?

    Materials pick-up will be on Sunday, July 16 from 4:00–7:00 p.m. and Monday, July 17 from 8:00–9:00 a.m.

    Dress for this event is business casual. Comfortable shoes are recommended.

    Are children permitted to attend?

    Due to the size and nature of NCTM Institutes, these events are not an appropriate setting for children under 16 years of age.

    Do you offer continuing education or credits?

    No. In the program binder that you receive onsite, there is a certificate of attendance that may be used to demonstrate attendance.

    Can I register a group?

    Yes. Use the online team registration button at the top of this page.

    Do you offer group discounts?

    Yes. NCTM offers a 20% discount on teams of three or more. Each team registration must include a primary contact and separate email addresses for each attendee. Teams paying for their conference registration with a purchase order can upload the purchase order form to expedite the process.

    Are there alternatives to online registration?

    Registration for the Interactive Institutes is available only online.

    How do I pay by purchase order?

    Individuals and group paying with a purchase order can upload the purchase order form through the registration system to expedite the process. Purchase order can also be mailed to NCTM Conference Registration, P.O. Box 844277, Dallas, TX 75284-4277 or faxed to (877) 905-6618 (toll-free) / (514) 360-1689 (international).

    How do I take advantage of member discounts?

    Members need to supply their member number to receive their discount. If you do not know your member number or would like to renew your membership, please log on to My NCTM. You can also contact NCTM Customer Care at (800) 235-7566 or (703) 620-9840 Monday–Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. eastern time, or email [email protected].

    What if I am not already an NCTM member?

    NCTM offers a one-year e-Membership with NCTM with Nonmember with Membership registrations. Your membership includes an electronic subscription to one of NCTM's school journals. When you register, you will need to select which journal you would like to receive.

    How do I cancel a registration? Do I get a refund if I cancel my registration?

    All cancellation must be received in writing on or before June 16, 2017. No refunds will be issued, for any reason, after the cancellation date.

    • NCTM will issue a full refund minus a $50 cancellation fee for members, nonmembers, and each person affiliated with a team.
    • Memberships that are received as part of Nonmember with Membership registrations will be cancelled with canceled registrations.
    • Substitutions will be accepted through onsite registration. Substitutes must submit a letter explaining who they are substituting and must return the original attendee’s badge. Nonmembers substituting for members will be charged the current nonmember registration rate.

    Visual Impairment

    If you are blind or visually impaired and require an aide or personal assistant to help you navigate the Winter Institute, NCTM will register your aide as a complimentary guest (if the aide is not a teacher).

    Institute session room locations are sometimes spread out and distances between sessions can be considerable. If you can get along without a wheelchair but feel that you may need to navigate the distances at the hotel, electric scooters can be rented from:
