    Starting April 2, 2015 through April 18, 2015 (11:59 p.m. Eastern), the Mathematics Education Trust (MET) will be auctioning Math Magic, an original watercolor painting prominently featuring tessellations, by renowned western artist, Robert A. Kercher.  The watercolor, valued at $4,000, measures 15 inches by 20 inches and is also matted and framed (not shown). Read more about the painting and artist....

    Interested bidders must be registered with BiddingForGood to place a bid in the online (only) auction (see instructions and links below).

    The painting can be best viewed and appreciated "live" at the MET Math Magic Reception (ticketed event), sponsored by Forrest T. Jones & Company, on April 15, 7:00-8:00 p.m. The artist will be in attendance. Tickets are $15, and attendance is limited. Register today.    

    A limited number of Math Magic note cards and prints will be available for sale, while supplies last at the NCTM Bookstore (NCTM Central, Boston Convention & Exhibition Center). Prints are numbered and signed by the artist and are sold on a first-come first-served basis. Additionally, don’t forget to purchase a copy of MET’s cookbook, Recipes You Can Count On also in the bookstore. Proceeds from the sale of all these items benefit MET programs.

    Robert A. Kercher’s works are in more than 1,000 private, public, and corporate collections, including the Nabisco Gallery (Hanover, N.J.), the White House collection of former  Ronald Reagan, and the permanent collection of the Smithsonian Institution. 

    Conference attendees can meet the artist on April 16, 2015, 9:00-10:30 a.m. in the Networking Lounge (NCTM Central, Boston Convention & Exhibition Center), introduce themselves, and have the artist sign or personalize their print or boxed set of note cards.
