Utilizing Pen Tablets to Enhance Digital Mathematics Learning

As the world becomes more digital, learning too must become more digital. We as teachers need to find ways to reach students in a way they are comfortable with. My district is transitioning to Google Chromebooks in the classroom, which is a seamless transition for some courses. However, it is more difficult to use a keyboard in a paper and pencil course like mathematics. To combine these worlds I want to use Wacom pen tablets that would allow students to draw diagrams and write in a digital document just like using traditional pen and paper. This grant application is for funding to purchase a classroom set of pen tablets for students to use in class. This will allow for learning and teaching with digital documents while continuing to utilize strategies common with all mathematics courses.
