Teaching for the 21 st Century, Inspiring Students through Common Core State Standards

The Palmyra High School math teachers will participate in high quality professional development opportunities. The goal of this grant is to provide teachers the opportunity to develop their understanding of the Common Core State Standards, expand on their knowledge of student learning styles, and incorporate the use of technology in the development of dynamic lessons for their classrooms. Teachers will study student learning styles and incorporate lessons addressing specific learning styles in the classroom. These lessons will incorporate the use of technology, differentiated classroom activities, and other teaching strategies beneficial to our students. The goal of this grant is to provide our students with rich learning opportunities through adapting our teaching to meet the needs of our individual students.
