2014 Prospective Teacher NCTM Annual Conference Attendance Award Recipient

Helping the Next Generation One Step at a Time   
 
I am interested in assisting students in becoming more involved, engaged and interested in mathematics through learning practical pedagogical techniques for my future classroom. It would be my goal as a future teacher to teach students in engaging and diverse ways, since teaching isn't about reciting materials; rather, teaching is about exposing those materials to students in fun, engaging and interesting ways. I hope to gain assistance the NCTM Conference and learn more about pedagogical techniques by talking to professionals who have faced and overcame those issues in the classroom setting.
