Making the theorems, postulates, ideas, and concepts of mathematics tangible to the average student can sometimes be the hardest fight a teacher must face. Changing what appears to be abstract into concrete practice in many instances seems an impossible feat. Becoming successful at this task must be the major focus of all math educators. Through attendance at the NCTM conference, beginning math teachers will be given the opportunity to gain skills, tactics, and methods that will equip them with the knowledge and experience to make this goal attainable. The information and tools that one receives from conference presenters and educational workshops will be useful and applicable throughout their career. It is certain the techniques and strategies obtained will ultimately make prospective teachers better educators and benefit their future students.
