Empowering the Beginning Teacher
Those beginning the journey as teachers of mathematics will encounter challenges both inside and outside the classroom. The books in the Empowering the Beginning Teacher series feature articles, ideas, lists of tips and advice, personal testimonies, quick notes, and quotable thoughts. Each book highlights six categories: professional growth, curriculum and instruction, classroom organization and management, classroom-level assessment, equity, and school and community.
Empowering the Mentor
The books in the Empowering the Mentor series function as a “how to” for individuals who participate in formal or informal mentor training or serve as instructional coach, peer coach, lead teacher, collaborative peer, department chair, administrator, critical friend, team leader, university supervisor, or department or grade-level colleague. We challenge you to think differently about what being a mentor means. Includes practical resources and advice from mentors and mentees for those who plan to mentor other mathematics teachers.
