American Sign Language Interpreters
If you require an interpreter please submit your request by March 16, 2012. After this date, requests for interpreters cannot be guaranteed, however every effort will be made to accommodate requests. Please note that on site requests for interpreters cannot be guaranteed without advance notice.
Visual Impairment
For blind or visually impaired registrants that require an aide or personal assistant to help you navigate the Annual Meeting, NCTM will register your aide as a complimentary guest as long as they are a nonteaching individual.
First Aid Station
A first aid station will be located at the Pennsylvania Convention Center and will be staffed during conference hours. Medical Technicians are available to assist with minor medical problems. However, if you have a medical emergency, please call 911.
NCTM Shuttle Bus Service
Complimentary shuttle bus service will be provided to those that have booked their hotel room through NCTM’s housing bureau, from hotels in our housing block to the Pennsylvania Convention Center. Hotels that are within walking distance of the convention center will not be serviced by shuttle buses.

Wheelchair and Scooter Rentals
Due to the large size of the NCTM Annual Meeting & Exposition, sessions are sometimes spread out and distances between sessions can be considerable. If you can get along without a wheelchair but feel that you may need one to navigate the distances at the Convention Center, electric scooters can be rented from Scootaround or Liberty Wheels.

Attire
Business casual attire is appropriate for all conference events. We recommend that attendees dress in layers because of the variation in room temperatures. Comfortable shoes are essential.

Shuttle Bus Service
Complimentary shuttle bus service will be provided to those that have booked their hotel room through NCTM’s housing bureau, from hotels in our housing block to the Pennsylvania Convention Center. Hotels that are within walking distance of the convention center will not be serviced by shuttle buses.

Parking Near the Convention Center
There are a variety of parking lot and garage locations near and around the convention center. Review the online list of parking options with rates to find the right location for you. Please check irectly with your hotel for rates and information on parking in your hotel’s garage or lot.
Airport Shuttle Services
Several shuttle and limousine companies are available for rides from Philadelphia International Airport to Center City. Costs range from $8-$10 one way. For more information please see the service counters in the airport terminals.
Taxi Cabs
A cab from Philadelphia International Airport to Center City is a flat rate of $27.00. Cabs are easily accessible throughout the downtown Philadelphia area.
SEPTA Rail Lines
SEPTA (Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority) operates numerous rail, subway, and bus routes throughout downtown Philadelphia and the surrounding suburban area.
- Coming from the Airport? Airport line brings travelers from the Philadelphia International Airport to Center City in 20 minutes. Disembark at the Market East Station to get to the Convention Center.
- Coming from Amtrak? Train travelers can ride from the 30th Street Station to Center City for free with their Amtrak tickets.
