American Sign Language Interpreters
If you require an interpreter please submit your request before September 10, 2012. After this date, requests for interpreters cannot be guaranteed, however every effort will be made to accommodate requests.
Please note: Onsite requests for interpreters cannot be guaranteed without advance notice.
Visual Impairment
For blind or visually impaired registrants that require an aide or personal assistant to help you navigate the Regional Conference, NCTM will register your aide as a complimentary guest as long as they are a non-teaching individual.
First Aid Station
A first aid station will be located at the America’s Convention Center and will be staffed during conference hours. Medical Technicians are available to assist with minor medical problems. However, if you have a medical emergency, please call 911.
Wheelchair and Scooter Rentals
Due to the large size of the NCTM Regional Conference & Exposition, sessions are sometimes spread out and distances between sessions can be considerable. If you can get along without a wheelchair but feel that you may need one to navigate the distances at the Convention Center, electric scooters can be rented from

Attire
Business casual attire is appropriate for all conference events. We recommend that attendees dress in layers because of the variation in room temperatures. Comfortable shoes are essential.

Transportation & Parking
Plan your travel and transportation carefully to save money while you're in Dallas. Below we have outlined various methods of transportation to the convention center, as well as parking information.
Parking at the Convention Center:
On-site parking is available at the Dallas Convention Center garage for $12 per entry vehicle (no in-out). Disabled access parking is available in the Level 1 Parking Garage (designated spaces on C side only) and Level 2 Parking Garage (designated spaces on A and C sides).
Taxi Cabs:
Fares from Dallas Fort Worth Airport (DFW) to the Dallas Convention Center are approximately $45 one-way; fares from Love Field to the Dallas Convention Center are approximately $18 one-way.
Airport Shuttle Services:
Several shuttle and limousine companies are available for rides from DFW and Love Field to the convention center and official conference hotels. For more information, please see the service counters in the airport terminals or visit DFW Ground Transportation or Love Field Ground Transporation.
Public Transportation:
The Dallas Convention Center has installed an electronic kiosk in Lower C Lobby where guests can order transportation.
DART (Dallas Area Rapid Transit) Rail:
DART Rail stops at the ground level of the Convention Center Station under Exhibit Halls E & F. DART provides transportation to locations throughout the city, including the Dallas Convention Center, hotels, and destinations that feature shopping, restaurants, and attractions. DART Light Rail runs every five minutes during peak hours and every 10 minutes during off-peak hours. The cost for local bus and rail service is $1.75 one-way or $4 for a day pass.

M-Line Streetcar:
Also known as the McKinney Avenue Trolleys, these cars travel along McKinney Avenue and connect the Uptown neighborhood with the Dallas Arts District in downtown. Line service operates seven days a week, every 15 minutes during peak hours and every half-hour during off-peak hours and weekends. The M-Line trolley service is free.
