Paper Guidelines for Brief Research Reports and Interactive Paper Sessions

Starting with the 2014 Research Conference, authors of accepted sessions at the Brief Research Report and Interactive Paper Session level should upload a formal paper to be shared with conference attendees. It is expected that papers will be available through the online program and the conference application. Papers need to be uploaded by 5pm (Eastern) April 4th, , 2014. Links for uploading papers will be sent to authors through email.

Authors are asked to upload papers to their Speaker’s Corner as either a Microsoft Word document (.doc, .docx) or as a PDF document. Please ensure your document is clearly legible, appropriately formatted, and follows APA style before completing the upload.

Papers should be between six and twenty pages, including references, and follow the style and guidelines outlined in the Publication Manual of the American Psychology Association, 6th ed. Generally, this means the paper will be double-spaced on standard sized paper (8.5” x 11”), with 1” margins on all sides, and 12 pt. font. The paper should include a title page, abstract, main body, and references. As with the proposal, the final paper needs to include a description of the conceptual or theoretical perspectives, the research question(s) and designs, data collection techniques and analyses, and summaries of the findings.
