MET Case Statement: The Importance of Giving
	You can help us make the vision of a high-quality mathematics education for every student a reality by giving to the Mathematics Education Trust (MET). Why is it important to give? Read the MET Case Statement.

Make a tax-deductable gift to MET—

Checks should be made payable to “NCTM-MET Fund.” Designations to specific funds or program areas should be indicated on the memo line of the check or on the accompanying form. Contributions in any amount are welcome (see Disclosure Statement). You may contribute to existing named funds (see below) or make a donation to help support all MET programs. Donors contributing at the levels listed below during the fiscal year (from June 1 to May 31) may be acknowledged in the MET Annual Report and a fall issue of NCTM’s Summing Up.    

• Grand Benefactor ($1000 or more)  
• Benefactor ($500 to 999)  
• Patron ($250 to 499)  
• Sponsor ($100 to $249)  
• Friend ($50 to 99)  

MET will consider new award programs named in honor of individuals and offered for periods of 5, 10, 15 or 20 years.   

In addition, there are other ways to give to MET:   

• Explore planned giving arrangements that benefit both you and the Trust  
• Share the availability of MET grant funds with math teachers (and future teachers)  
• Make valuable suggestions to continually improve MET programs and services.
