A total of 3 graduate extension credit hours are available from the
University of San Diego (USD). 1 credit hour is available for
participation in the face-to-face portion of the Institute and 2 credit hours
are available for participation in the Extended Online Professional Development
Course (you have to sign up for this separately when registering for the
Institute). Credit hours are generally
dependent on the intensity of each course; essentially 15 hours of contact work
is equivalent to one unit of credit. Credits may be transferred to a degree
program, but participants should first consult with the degree-granting
organization for this permission. USD credits are most often used for teacher certification
and/or salary enhancement purposes. You have 10 days following the first class
meeting for this training to register online.
