Get the Essentials to Plan Your Trip 

Immerse yourself in two days of professional development focused on providing an in-depth understanding of the Common Core State Standards for Mathematics in the middle grades.

NCTM’s Interactive Institutes for grades 6–8 educators offer the latest strategies to ensure that students in the middle grades receive the best preparation for high school, higher education, and beyond.

Renaissance Orlando - View from SeaWorldAll Institute activities will take place at the Renaissance Orlando at Sea World, located across from SeaWorld Orlando, and adjacent to Aquatica and Discovery Cove. The hotel is also just minutes from shopping, restaurants, and popular area attractions, including Walt Disney World and Universal Studios Orlando.

A special discounted rate of $149 per night is available for Institute participants, but you must book your room through NCTM to receive the special rate. Parking is available at the hotel—self-parking is $16 per day; valet parking is $22 per day.

NCTM is committed to ensuring that our Interactive Institutes are fully accessible to all persons. American Sign Language Interpreters 
If you require an interpreter please submit your request before January 29, 2013. After this date, requests for interpreters cannot be guaranteed, however every effort will be made to accommodate requests.   

Please note: Onsite requests for interpreters cannot be guaranteed without advance notice.

Visual Impairment 
For blind or visually impaired registrants that require an aide or personal assistant to help you navigate the Institute, NCTM will register your aide as a complimentary guest as long as they are a non-teaching individual. 

Wheelchair and Scooter Rentals
Institute session room locations are sometimes spread out and distances between sessions can be considerable. If you can get along without a wheelchair but feel that you may need one to navigate the distances at the hotel, electric scooters can be rented from:

Attire for the Institute

Business casual attire is appropriate for all Institute events. We recommend that attendees dress in layers because of the variation in room temperatures. Comfortable shoes are essential.
