It's More Than Just References

Karen D. King

May 2002, Volume 33, Issue 3, Page 150

Abstract:
In July 2001, the American Psychological Association (APA) released its fifth edition of the Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association  (APA, 2001). To many, this tome is simply a repository of information on references and style. Thus, the release of the newest edition of the Publication Manual  may offer a useful occasion for both examining changes and reexamining issues that deserve attention. I am here to let you know that the APA Publication Manual  is more than just a guide to references. This editorial is about what the Publication Manual is and is not.
