Abstract:

This month: Two familiar patterns related to square and triangular numbers motivate the discovery of a new pattern of sums. The "Delving Deeper" department provides a forum that allows classroom teachers to share the mathematics from their work with students, their classroom investigations and projects, and their other experiences.
