Sue Burns

February 2004, Volume 9, Issue 6, Page 320

Abstract:
This monthly set of problems involves problems with a variety of themes for students with a range of mathematical experience. Answers are also given. The purpose of the Menu of Problems is to provide teachers and students with sets of interesting and challenging problems that invite creative problem solving strategies. Teachers can use these problems as a problem of the day or week, as warm-ups, as end of class challenges and/or brainteasers. Menu of Problems is a regular department of Mathematics Teaching in the Middle School.
