Abstract:
A rich problem discusses finding the area of a shape made up of curves. The Editorial Panel is presenting this problem to stimulate submissions to "The Thinking of Students" department. Pose the problem of determining the area of the shaded region shaped by parts of a circle to your students and submit solution strategies that would be of interest to your colleagues.
