David Rock

March 2006, Volume 11, Issue 7, Page 328

Abstract:

This monthly set of problems involves numbers and operations, algebra and algebraic reasoning, and discrete math. Answers are also given.

The purpose of the Menu of Problems is to provide teachers and students with a set of interesting and challenging problems that invite creative problem solving strategies. Teachers can use these problems as problem of the day or week, as warm-ups, as end of class challenges and/or brainteasers. Menu of Problems is a regular department of Mathematics Teaching in the Middle School.
