Abstract:
How to put the NCTM publication, Curriculum Focal Points for Prekindergarten through Grade 8 Mathematics: A Quest for Coherence into practice. Data Representation and Analysis is examined, as a strand in  grade bands K-7, but in grade 8  the analysis of data through descriptive statistics becomes a Focal Point in itself. Includes guiding questions for reflection and professional development.
