From the Classroom: Facts + Fun = Fluency

Abstract:

Using facts and fun to promote fluency is the focus of this month's From the Classroom. From the Classroom is a regular department of Teaching Children Mathematics dedicated to sharing knowledge that is generated and used in classroom settings. IT serves as a forum for reflective, classroom-centered articles that focus upon issues that arise in teaching mathematics and actions that teachers take in relation to those issues.
