Investigations: Taking Time to Understand Telling Time

Abstract:

This issue focuses on an activity about "taking time"  aimed at teaching how to tell time.  Investigations are hands-on, open-ended activities that encourage problem solving, reasoning, communication, and mathematical connections.  Investigations is a regular feature of Teaching Children Mathematics and highlights activities that develop conceptual understanding of mathematical topics.
