Abstract:

Contemporary Curriculum Issues provides a forum to stimulate discussion on contemporary mathematics curricular issues across a K–12 audience. The expectations for calculator use based on an analysis of current mathematics curriculum materials and state standards documents at the elementary level, and concerns and recommendations related to the use of calculators in today’s elementary mathematics curriculum context.
