Mathematical Lens: Linear Reasoning about Circles

Edited by Ron Lancaster and Brigitte Bentele

March 2012, Volume 105, Issue 7, Page 494

Abstract:
Students analyze a photograph to solve mathematical questions related to the images captured in the photograph. This month, the article begins with finding equations of circles and then moves to finding areas of circles, ending with finding sums of sequences and writing closed-form expressions.

This material is only available to signed-in subscribers.
