Activities for Students: Soap and Slope: Mathematical Adventures in Fluid Dynamics

Rachel Levy; Edited by Ruth Dover and Patrick Harless

December 2013, Volume 107, Issue 5, Page 378

Abstract:
Middle school and high school students can explore the connection between soap and slope through a set of simple experiments paired with graphing and writing exercises. The experiments connect the physical phenomenon of surface tension to the mathematical concept of slope.
