NCTM's 3-Day SAT Workshop
Take three days this summer and join NCTM to learn how to best support your students in developing college and career readiness skills. Facilitators Fred Dillon and Damarrio Holloway will show you how bringing NCTM's Effective Teaching Practices to your classroom will benefit your students on the SAT and in their post-secondary math courses.
In three days, you will gain strategies to engage students in mathematical thinking, reasoning, and sense making to significantly strengthen teaching and learning.
3-Day Workshop Outcomes
Participants will:
- use the principles and practices in NCTM’s publication Principles to Actions: Ensuring Mathematical Success for All as a framework for implementing college- and career-ready standards in the classroom that will prepare students for the SAT;
- increase their knowledge of the SAT math domains and test specifications;
- consider the importance of access and equity in implementing high-quality standards in the classroom, school, and district; and
