Opening Session
Reimagining Mathematics Education: Educators
Creating Spaces for Dynamic Learning Experiences
Wednesday, November 17, 2021
5:30 – 7:00 PM
Quite a bit has changed in the teaching and learning of mathematics since March 2020. Thousands of teachers across the country and at all levels were forced to make immediate changes in the way they taught their subject. As we (hopefully) approach the end of the pandemic, now is a good time to reflect upon all that
has happened in the past 20 months as it pertains to teaching mathematics. What have we learned? What ‘good’ has come out of this? What can we take forward from this experience to create new, exciting, dynamic learning experience for our students? These ideas, along with many others, will be discussed tonight.
