    Making a "Significant" Difference…Statistically Speaking, of Course Elizabeth D. Moore, Southern Wayne High School, Dudley, North Carolina (2012-13) It is my analytical, mathematical heart's desire for my adolescent students to hear terms such as "sampling" or "mean" without immediately conjuring up ideas of tasting food or angry dispositions. Currently, a Statistics course is not offered to the students of Southern Wayne High School. By taking some Statistics courses within my graduate program, I hope to revitalize the mathematics program at this high school, specifically the Statistics content area. I fervently hope to help students realize the relevance and application of an elementary stats course to their lives: commercials, elections, surveys, advertisements, etc. By furthering my own education and acting as the learner once more, I can empathize all the more with the plight of my students. Pursuing this master's degree and studying Statistics enables me to provide the absolute paramount education for each individual entering my classroom.
