    I am applying for the NCTM Annual Meeting Attendance Award because of my deep passion for math and my desire to deliver the best possible instruction to my students. I teach in a rural district in Wisconsin where funds are tight. Without this grant, I will not be able to have this tremendous opportunity to enhance the instruction of myself, other educators, and students in my school district. In order for students to reap the best possible math instruction, they need teachers with in depth knowledge of how math works across the grade levels. By attending this conference, I am confident that I will glean a deeper understanding and be able to pursue specific passions of mine including lesson study, common core standard implementation, tiered and differentiated instructions, and RTI, all of which will be presented at the conference. This gift of mathematical knowledge would be greatly treasured and shared.
