Margaret (Peg) J. Kenney and J. Michael Shaughnessy
Congratulations to the 2017 NCTM Lifetime Achievement Award recipients! The Mathematics Education Trust (MET) has selected Margaret (Peg) J. Kenney, posthumously, and J. Michael Shaughnessy as recipients of the NCTM Lifetime Achievement Award.
The award honors NCTM members who have exhibited a lifetime of achievement in mathematics education at the national level. Kenney and Shaughnessy will be recognized during the Opening Session of the 2017 NCTM Annual Meeting and Exposition in San Antonio. Following the Opening Session, MET will be hosting a Lifetime Achievement Award Celebracion Reception to honor and celebrate the recipients.
