Benjamin Banneker and the Law of Sines

How Benjamin Banneker, the African American mathematician, used the Law of Sines more than 200 years ago. It contains a lesson plan for an activity to be used with precalculus students to review logarithms and the Law of Sines. Students are encouraged to use alternatives to calculators and methods they have thus learned for solving the problem.
