The expanded second edition of the best-selling The Impact of Identity in K-8 Mathematics: Rethinking Equity-Based Practices invites elementary and secondary teachers of mathematics to reflect on their own and their students’ identities that impact how students experience learning mathematics. Rich possibilities for learning result when teachers draw on these identities in asset-based ways to offer high-quality, equity-based teaching to all students, especially those who have been marginalized by race, ethnicity, class, language, and gender.
