    Proposal Submission Window
Beginning in 2021 with the transition of the NCTM Annual Meeting & Exposition to the fall timeframe, NCTM also made the decision to enact a standardized approach to the meeting's call for proposals submission window – setting a consistent opening date of July 1 and deadline date on/around October 1.

This timeframe allows NCTM's dedicated group of volunteer reviewers ample time to not only review proposed sessions, but also thoughtfully construct an inclusive, wide-ranging educational program for the following year’s meeting.

While we recognize no solution is ideal for all educators, a July-October call for proposals submission period provides a consistent expectation for mathematics professionals each year, as the dates of the actual meeting fluctuate between September and October based on availability/location.
