RIMTA Spring Meeting
- Dinner with Dan Meyer. Dan Meyer, who has taught high school math to students who didn’t
like high school math, is an internationally known advocate for better math
instruction. He has brought his message to conferences, meetings as well as on
CNN, Good Morning America, Everyday With Rachel Ray, and TED.com. He earned his
doctorate from Stanford University in math education and currently is the Chief
Academic Officer at Desmos exploring and developing the future of math textbooks.
His goal is to visit every state in the nation and we are pleased that he will
add Rhode Island to that list and visit us on May 5. Join us for dinner and an
interesting look at Mathematics education through the eyes of Dan Meyer. The event will be held at the Radison Hotel, 2081
Post Road, Warwick, Rhode Island 02886. Tickets for "Dinner with Dan Meyer" are available through Rhode
Island Mathematics Teachers Association (RIMTA) - members: $50; non-members:
