To be effective and impactful we must advocate as individuals and collectively across local, state/provincial, and national levels. We must challenge existing inequities in structures and practices related to teaching and learning mathematics. This session will engage participants in exploring ways to lead in advocacy efforts in mathematics education. It will focus on identifying effective tools and processes to engage others in change efforts that move from critical conversations to actions.
