Megan H. Wickstrom is associate professor of mathematics education in the Department of Mathematical Sciences at Montana State University where she teaches current and future K-12 teachers. Her research focuses on the teaching and learning of mathematical modeling in K-16 classrooms, the teaching and learning of geometry and measurement, and understanding best practices when integrating research into classrooms. As a former middle school mathematics teacher, she enjoys working alongside classroom teachers to develop rich, mathematical tasks that foster students’ mathematical identities.
