Julie Thiele is an Assistant Professor of Mathematics Education at Kansas State University. She teaches undergraduate elementary mathematics education courses, graduate level mathematics education courses and mathematics and science methods courses in a Masters of Arts in Teaching program.  She leads professional development and conducts research in the areas of elementary and secondary in-service and pre-service mathematics education, with a focus on effective mathematics teaching practices, growth mindset and grading practices.
