Sue McMillen is a professor in the mathematics department at
SUNY Buffalo State. She is a past president of the Association of Mathematics
Teachers of New York State. Her research interests include using literacy
strategies to teach STEM content, incorporating technology into mathematics
instruction, and curriculum development for integrated STEM activities.
Pixita del Prado Hill is a professor in the Elementary
Education, Literacy, and Educational Leadership Department and co-director of
the Professional Development Schools Consortium at SUNY Buffalo State. Her
teaching and research interests include content literacy, supporting the needs
of language learners, and international school-university partnerships.
Ellen Friedland is an associate professor emeritus
in the Elementary Education, Literacy, and Educational Leadership Department at
SUNY Buffalo State who currently teaches content literacy
courses. Her research interests focus on issues in adolescent
literacy.
