Dr. Brandie E. Waid is an independent math coach and scholar. She was previously an Assistant Professor of Teacher Education, specializing in K-12 mathematics and science, and has taught middle and high school mathematics in both New York City and Florida. Brandie is interested in the ways in which students’ intersectional identities manifest in mathematical spaces. Her current focus is on methods of humanizing mathematics for all students, particularly LGBTQ+ students. Brandie can be found on twitter at @MathTeach_BEW.
