NCTM is excited to announce this year in Chicago, the NCTM Research Conference will begin its full integration into the NCTM Annual Meeting & Exposition
This integration is the next step to better support the connections between research and practice and form new collaboration opportunities between researchers and classroom teachers.
What can I expect?
The submission process for research-based sessions remains unchanged, including the peer review procedures. Research session types also remain the same, with programming offered as Research Reports, Symposiums, Interactive Workshops, Interactive Burst Workshops, Round Table Discussions, and Posters.
Accept sessions proposals will now fall into
two tracks:
- Research (traditional research conference session for researchers)
- Linking Research and Practice (designed to engage both researchers and school and district teachers and leaders).
Who can attend these sessions?
The 2024 Annual Meeting & Exposition and Research Conference will now have a single registration fee, meaning your registration will now give you access to both the Annual Meeting workshops and sessions as well as Research Conference offerings, allowing you to attend any session of interest to you for one price. The single offering will also encourage increased collaboration between researchers and school and district teachers and leaders.
The research-focused sessions will begin Wednesday morning and run through Saturday.
