Accessibility and Inclusion

The NCTE-NCTM Joint Conference encourages a safe and respectful environment that is focused on building a better community during your conference experience. We strive to host inclusive, accessible events that enable all individuals, including individuals with disabilities, to fully engage.

NCTE and NCTM include the following requirements in the Conference planning process:

Keynote sessions will have live ASL interpretation.
The NCTE-NCTM Joint Conference contracts ASL services to ensure individual attendee accommodations are met during presentations. Anyone requesting accessibility services can make them through the registration process or by emailing [email protected]. We will confirm receipt of the request within 10 business days and will provide information on the next steps.
Speakers will use microphones for all sessions.
For people with visual impairment, a printed copy of the program book will be available upon request.
All visual information presented on slides during the keynotes and sessions will be verbally communicated by the speakers.
Attendees will have access to a lactation room.
All-Gender restrooms will be located throughout the event space.
The NCTE-NCTM Joint Conference Event Code of Conduct outlines expectations for all attendees, speakers, sponsors, exhibitors, service providers, and volunteers.
