    What Grants for Math Educators are Due May 5th?

    In a busy life, the best choice may be to take a little time out to write a grant! When mathematics education is your passion, you are often looking for grants to help expand your projects! The Mathematics Education Trust can be the transformation that puts the music in your heart. May 05, 2017 is the deadline for the latest round of grants for mathematics teaching and learning. Here is a list of opportunities for this cycle.

    • Program of Mathematics Study & Active Professionalism Grants 
      Up to $24,000 will be awarded to a classroom grades Pre-K–6 teacher seeking to complete course work in school mathematics content and pedagogy working toward an advanced degree and taking an active professional approach toward teaching mathematics.
    • Pre-K–8 Preservice Teacher Action Research Grants
      A maximum of $3,000 will be awarded for action research conducted as a collaborative by university faculty, preservice teacher(s), and classroom teacher(s) seeking to improve their understanding of mathematics in Pre-K-8 classroom(s).
