Math Driven Leadership
This proposal contains two primary objectives:
1. To enhance the knowledge and ability of the grant recipient to develop a thorough understanding of interventions for both low and high achieving students. Whether the students are high or low, a plan of action focusing on appropriate tools and strategies is developed to raise, maintain, and close the achievement gap through interventions.
2. Based on the greater knowledge of math concepts obtained through objective 1, the grant recipient will be able to provide teachers with appropriate assessments and skill level interventions. The coaching ability of the grant recipient will enable classroom teachers to advance low achieving students so they can be successful learners in a regular education classroom. Mathematical reasoning and conceptual understanding will be the focus of addressing the needs of high achieving students. The evidence for ALL students will be shown though increase scores on our triangulation data charts.
