North Carolina Prospective Teacher NCTM Conference   
 
Going to the NCTM Conference will give me the opportunity to learn about and apply different strategies to engage my future students. Attending sessions with presenters from various professional and geographic backgrounds will enrich my teaching knowledge by sharing their various points of view, experiences, and tasks, as well as help me make informed decisions about where I would like to pursue my teaching career. The collection of tasks and contacts that I will obtain from the conference will be a great investment in my future teaching position. The ability to start out with several tasks that are engaging and high level will help me, and ultimately benefit my future students. Being granted the funding to make all this happen would continue an ongoing learning process. I am looking forward to learning different strategies, building my lesson plan library and networking with the presenters and other teachers.
