Kevin McElhaney

February 2004, Volume 97, Issue 2, Page 126

Abstract:
An activity to model Boolean logic operators AND and OR with simple electrical circuits. Article discusses building simple circuits and testing them. Activities are hands-on, open-ended activities that encourage problem solving, reasoning, communication, and mathematical connections. Includes worksheets for building circuits and truth tables. Activities is a regular feature of Mathematics Teacher and highlights activities that develop conceptual understanding of mathematics topics.
