Activities for Students: Biology as a Source for Algebra Equations: Insects

Author Virginia M. Horak looks to insects as inspiration for an algebra lesson. Students are given the opportunity to analyze data sets that relate ambient temperature to insect temperature and ambient temperature to the number of cricket chirps per minute. Both cases produce linear data.
