Using coins to simulate random events. Technology can easily produce large amounts of data so students can easily explore conjectures. Commands such as FREQUENCE and COUNTIF are introduced, and the F9 command to re-randomize data is discussed. The Surfing Note sends readers to the MathPlotter site at the Lawrenceville School, which, in addition to housing a graphing package, has many interactive applications.
