Readers Write - August 2006

August 2006, Volume 12, Issue 1, Page 4

Abstract:

Letters from readers highlight the "broken calculator" problem, "unhappy" numbers, a pi puzzle, and sketching figures on isometric graph paper.

The Mathematics Teaching in the Middle School Editorial Panel appreciates the interest and values the views of those who take the time to send us their comments. This is an opportunity for readers to write a letter, sharing opinions, thoughts, or a reaction to anything that they find of interest in the journal. Members of the Editorial Panel want to hear what readers are thinking and share your thoughts with the larger community. Each month, selected responses are published in "Readers Write."
