Solve It! The Two-Digit Game

Abstract:

The Two-Digit Game problem is introduced and the answer is provided. The Two-Digit Game involves finding the probability of creating a particular two-digit number after drawing numbers from a box.

The aim of Solve It! is to provide teachers with meaningful, mathematically rich problems that invoke thoughtful and innovative student responses. Solve It! poses a problem for classroom use andĀ invites teachers to submit unique student work. Solve It! is a regular department of Teaching Children Mathematics. Student solutions are highlighted in The Thinking of Students department of Mathematics Teaching in the Middle School.
