Edited by Ron Lancaster and Brigitte Bentele. Students analyze a photograph to solve mathematical questions related to the images captured in the photograph. This month, sculptures in San Diego provide the impetus for studying circles (arcs, sectors, and segments of circles), trigonometric functions, and proportional reasoning.
