Discover how to use activities in NCTM’s Principles and Standards for School Mathematics Navigations Series to support specific content and practice standards in the Common Core State Standards for Mathematics (CCSSM). Pinpoint tested Navigations activities to bring mathematics topics and processes to life for your students while correlating your instruction with CCSSM.

This book has been designed to be fairly intuitive to use, but a few explanations may be helpful. The charts in this book map the activities in the Navigations series onto the Common Core State Standards for Mathematics (CCSSM). Each chart corresponds to one of the grade-level standards or one of the high school content standards. The first column of the chart lists the contents of the standards as they appear on the CCSSM website (www.corestandards.org/Math). The second column identifies activities from the Navigations books aligned with the standards to which they most closely correspond. Some activities have multiple listings because they relate to more than one standard or grade level. The third column identifies the mathematical practices that are covered by the activity, and the fourth column identifies the Navigations book where the activity can be found.
